Model U-202s  Telescopic shaft: both tube and rod made of steel Handle: straight, glass reinforced polypropylene Fabric: high-density polyester with anti-UV backing Weight: 1 lb 10 oz/745 g Retracted length: 13.7 in/349 mm Extended length: 21.3 in/546 mm Canopy diameter: 38.2 in/970 mm Manual open/Manual close Comes with a screw-in Emergency Car Window Breaker (adjustable wrench not included). The Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella Model U-202s with steel shaft is heavier and more durable than Model U-212s with its aluminium and fiberglass shaft. This model is intended for professionals in personal protection business (bodyguards, etc.). The Unbreakable® Telescopic (Collapsible) Umbrella protects against rain and many other things. . . . Whacks as strong as a steel pipe–it weighs 1 lb and 10 oz (745 g).

  • Does not bring any unwanted attention
  • The best dual purpose accessory
  • Protects against rain and many other things

Our Unbreakable® Umbrella has no unusual parts, its looks do not arouse suspicion, can be carried everywhere, and protects from rain (it is covered in state-of-the-art waterproof fabric). Anyone who can use a baton or a club for defense can use this umbrella. Our Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrellas are handcrafted in Poland from the highest quality materials and perform in rain and wind just like the highest quality rain umbrellas. Frames of Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrellas Model U-202s are hand-made with high-strength steel and polyester-fiberglass laminates. Telescopic shafts of these umbrellas can support well over 100-kg (220-lb) weight when fully extended and, if not abused, will last more than a lifetime. Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrellas are warranted not to break under normal use (see our Limited Lifetime Warranty).

Use and Care Information

It is normal that the Model U-202s’s handle spins freely when the telescope is retracted. When the telescope is extended, the handle and the rod are blocked from spinning but one can overcome the lock with mild force. For the Model U-202s telescope’s blockade to hold well, the rod has to be pulled energetically, with a snap, so its ball-bearing lock can engage fully. Whenever your umbrella gets wet, leave it open to dry. Allow your umbrella to dry fully before folding. Otherwise mildew will form on the umbrella’s fabric.

Please note: Telescopic shaft of the Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella Model U-202s is made of high-strength construction steel, not stainless steel. After exposure to water the shaft needs to be wiped dry and lightly oiled. Should rust spots be allowed to occur, they need to be removed with a Scotch-Brite pad or steel wool, prior to oiling. Oiling is to be done by putting a drop of machine oil on a soft cloth and rubbing both the tube and the rod of the shaft with the cloth.

IMPORTANT!

Our Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella is for defending against elements (in every meaning of the word) and not for clowning. It is covered in a high-quality waterproof fabric, not in abrasion proof or slash proof fabric, because it has to look, weigh, and work like a normal umbrella, so do not expect this fabric to be undamaged if you strike objects with the Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella.

IMPORTANT: ”Please read product Warranty before purchase” (Not following these instructions voids the Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella’s warranty)

Important Instructions Because Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella Got Popular with the Wrong Kind.

It is normal that the Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella’s handle spins freely when the telescope is retracted. When the telescope is extended, the handle and the rod are blocked from spinning but one can overcome the lock with mild force.

For the Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella telescope’s blockade to hold well, the rod has to be pulled energetically, with a snap, so its ball-bearing lock can engage fully.

Whenever your umbrella gets wet, leave it open to dry. Allow your umbrella to dry fully before folding. Otherwise mold will grow on the umbrella’s fabric. As mold grows, it creates enzymes, which digest the fabric’s fibers on which it is growing, causing permanent fabric damage and weakening, with a result like this case described.

Our Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrellas Model U-202 and U-202s are handcrafted in limited quantities in Poland, from the highest quality materials. Telescopic shafts of these umbrellas can support well over a 220-lb weight (100 kg) when fully extended, and if not abused, will last more than a lifetime. Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella frames are warranted not to break under normal use (no throwing them under a heavy truck or a train, no chopping with an axe, no banging with a hammer, no throwing into a wood chipper, no setting on fire, or subjecting them to other abuses). This warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse or accident (such as throwing the Unbreakable® Umbrellas under a train or a bulldozer, and subjecting them to other similar unreasonable stresses), nor does it cover damage to fabric as well as scratches inflicted in the course of “trying them out,” or as a result of normal wear and tear. Any alteration of the Unbreakable® Umbrella will void our warranty.

Our warranty doesn’t cover fabric damage (unless the fabric is defective) because even the highest quality umbrella fabric cannot be guaranteed to withstand abrasive forces occurring at hard impact between wiring of the frame and the stricken object. Our Unbreakable® Umbrella is for defending against elements (in every meaning of the word) and not for clowning. It is covered in a high-quality waterproof fabric, not in abrasion proof or slash proof fabric, because it has to look, weigh, and work like a normal umbrella, so do not expect this fabric to be undamaged if you hit heavy bags, baseball bats, and such things with it.

Should the frame of the Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella Model U-202 or U-202s break under normal use (whatever is normal for a collapsible baton, and an umbrella, of course), please contact the authorized seller, that is us if you purchased the Unbreakable® Umbrella directly from us, or one of our listed authorized sellers from whom you have purchased it, provide your original sales receipt and a photo (not larger than 300KB or 640px by 480px) of the defect, and we or our authorized seller will arrange a repair or replacement at our discretion, or refund if you request it. ATTENTION! Messages with photos or other attachments greater than 300KB may be blocked by our mailbox. If reducing photos to our specifications is difficult for you, then please send your unreduced photos using a free file transferring service, for example, wetransfer.com.

Deniability & Stranger Test

Deniability on an example of a book and an umbrella
Deniability on an example of a book and an umbrella

Modern states, that is police states, have laws to keep their citizens powerless and dependent on the state. They want people to be fearful of exercising their natural rights–such as the right to defend themselves. The states practically prevent people from exercising their right to protect themselves–by making it illegal to prepare for self-defense. In most countries and in many US states, possession of weapons is prohibited. In the European Union and the UK, even possessing an everyday object, be that a cane, a pen, a set of keys, whatever–with an intent to defend yourself–is illegal.

With that in mind, learn to think correctly and, if interrogated, to talk safely (best through your lawyer), like so:

“I bought this telescopic umbrella [or a pair of sturdy boots] because it is made to last and withstands what its cheap, low-quality counterparts cannot.” NOT “I bought this telescopic umbrella [or a pair of boots] because it is strong enough to defend myself with.” That would be an illegal intent.

In case you had to defend yourself, say, “I was suddenly assaulted, in fear for my life, so I used what was within my reach [or in my hand or on me] to protect myself.” NOT “I expected an attack so I folded my walking-stick umbrella and grabbed it tightly [or I put my flashlight in my fist].” That would be an illegal intent.

Deniability and the Stranger Test

What the “stranger test” is and how it relates to deniability in self-defense, from Wixibux of Defend Yourself Easily!:
“The stranger test is simply this — take your personal protection tool(s) of choice, put them on a table, and leave the room. Now, have any number of strangers come into the room and form an opinion about you as a person based on what you carry for self-defense and personal safety. It’s kind of an eye-opening experience.

“What does a stranger think of your stun gun or your brass-knuckle folding knife? What do strangers think of your pepper spray or expandable baton? You might say, “it’s my life and I don’t have to answer to a stranger about how I choose to protect myself!” That is certainly true until you use your tool(s) to defend yourself. Now you will most certainly come face-to-face with some strangers that will definitely form judgments about who you are, your intent and your character based on what you carry. This group of strangers is called a jury.”

The Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella Model U-202s with steel shaft is intended for professionals in personal protection business (bodyguards, etc.).

You acknowledge you are a personal protection professional, and capable of using U-202s safely. Being a professional you must realize that since U-202s weighs nearly two pounds (1 lb 10 oz or 745 g), its deniability is low–it doesn’t pass the “stranger test” as easily as our walking-stick umbrellas or U-212s. This has implications for air travel.
